1934 Dodge Street Rod Pickup - Details

Fred Zwicker first purchased this truck during a heavy snow storm in the winter of 1973 from the owner of Grach Brothers Speed Shop in Poland, Ohio. Truck had roll bars, chopped fenders, etc. The truck was a top contender at the nearby Salem Drag Strip. It was later restored at Tip Tools to a semi-original look, keeping the 350 Chevy engine used for drag racing. It was often driven to many local car shows and was maintained until 2005, when a total “body-off” restoration was performed at TP Tools by Bob Darney.

A new “Ram-Jet” fuel-injected crate engine and a new automatic transmission were installed, along with a complete electronic package, including remote controlled door latches, hood latches, and trunk cover. Truck was painted Shimrin Sunset Pearl Base-Clear Coat, using a TP HVLP Paint Spray System. Matt Willoughby handled the striping and graphics in our shop. A fine running pickup!
