1966 Chevrolet Nova SS

Category: 1960s

1966 Chevrolet Nova SS - Details

Here is a real beauty – slightly modified with new high performance 350 cu. Inch/350 HP Chevrolet Engine with 4-bolt main bearings, headers and smooth-running 700-R4 automatic transmission. Painted a very unusual 2009 Corvette Atomic Orange and set off with most chrome trim removed, new glass, new chrome and new interior.

This car has 4-wheel power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, 10-bolt rear positraction rear axle with 3.73 gears. Added was power steering, custom wheels, new gas tank and aluminum radiator for cool running. With new gas lines, new brakes lines and all of the above, in essence this is a new car and can be comfortably driven at any speed anywhere.

Lee Johnson of Brandon, Florida (one of our customers) did a body-off restoration, taking three years to finish. We changed the 4-speed floor shift to an automatic and did some minor wiring enhancements for easier driving on weekends.
