Introduced in Brazil in 1959, the Volkswagen Fusca became one of the most recognizable and beloved automobiles in South America. Built by Volkswagen do Brasil, the Fusca was the Brazilian version of the iconic Volkswagen Beetle.
This 1968 Fusca “Resto Mod” Ragtop features a rare sliding fabric sunroof, commonly referred to as a “ragtop.” The folding roof provided open-air driving while maintaining the simplicity and affordability that made the Fusca famous around the world.
Powered by a rear-mounted, air-cooled 1.3-liter flat-four engine, the Fusca delivered dependable performance with minimal maintenance requirements. Its compact size, rear-wheel-drive layout, and lightweight construction made it practical, economical, and surprisingly capable on rough roads and in crowded cities alike.
