1970 Torino GT Convertible - Details

The 1970 Ford Torino GT convertible is a classic American muscle car known for its sporty design, powerful engine options, and relatively low production numbers (3600 convertibles produced). It was part of the second generation of Torino’s, featuring a redesigned body, longer and wider than previous models, with a prominent long hood, short deck, and a “coke bottle” shape. The Torino GT trim was designed for performance and offered sporty badging, and performance features like upgraded wheels, performance brakes and tires making it a desirable muscle car among enthusiasts.

It was available with various engines, including the 351 V8 and the powerful 429 Cobra Jet, which came in 360 hp, 370 hp, and 375 hp versions. This car came with the 351 V8 engine and cruise-o-matic auto transmission with 3.00 rear axle. Options on this Torino included body side tape stripe, white power top with glass backlite, electric clock, visibility light group, raised white letter tires, shaker hood scoop, console, power front disc brakes, power steering, AM radio, deluxe seat belts and calypso coral paint. Total original sticker price of $ 3291.91.
