Purchased from a Car Museum in St. Louis is this very nice 1936 Ford Convertible with Rumble Seat, that holds 2 extra passengers. This car was from a Texas collection and was correctly restored about 15 years ago. Has Ford’s famous 221 cubic inch 85 HP flathead V8 engine and 3-speed floor shift. The 1936 Ford is probably the most desirable of collectible Fords. Engine is correctly detailed to original specs, starts easily & runs perfectly.
In the early 1950s and into the late 1960s, the Canfield Fairgrounds had a 1/4 mile banked dirt track for auto racing. At the time, most all of the cars racing were 1934 to 1940 Ford coupes, and few other cars could come close to the speed and handling on the dirt track. Lots of noise, lots of dust and plenty of action in those days.
