Category: 1930s

1937 Ford “Mirage” Custom Street Rod - Details

This car was built in our restoration shop at TP Tools by Bob Darney. Almost 2 years were devoted to this project and no expenses were spared in making this one of the best in the U.S.A.

Interior was done by one of the leading shops in the country, using genuine elephant leather seats, trimmed in matching leather trim. The metal center section and dash were custom made by Darney.

Check the graphics on the sides of the car and especially the “Las Vegas” theme on the trunk. These graphics were done by Matt Willoughby, who also did the unique engine cover on the 1955 Modified Safari wagon, as well as the wood grained dashboard on the 1939 LaSalle.

This car won “Best of Show” of over 400 cars at the October 2010 “Piston Power” show at the IX Center in Cleveland. Also won “Best Street Rod” and “Best Paint” at the same show. Car was painted with our famous HVLP Turbine Paint Spray System, that is manufactured by Skat Blast right here at TP Tools in Canfield, Ohio. Skat Blast also manufactures a full line of abrasive blasting cabinets – all are Made in USA.
