We found this extremely rare Pontiac Chieftain Deluxe in California. A recent prize-winning restoration even includes a matching surf board! The original appearance was retained, but a more powerful 1966 Pontiac 389 cubic inch 325 HP V-8 engine was installed, along with Pontiac Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission. Everything under the hood is new, including wiring and 12-volt alternator. Show quality chrome and stainless trim make this one of the nicest pre-war “Woody” Station Wagons ever produced.
Extra cost options include under-dash air conditioning, Coker Classic Radial Whitewalls, fender skirts, all tinted glass, and an original windshield visor. Disk brakes are electronically assisted and have stainless steel hoses and lines. Interior is new with an original look. This car starts right up and runs great. Oil pressure at an idle is 40 psi. It can be driven anywhere at highway speeds.
