1954 Corvette Roadster - Details

This car is one of the rarest of the early 1953-1954 Corvettes. Manufactured in early 1954, the car has a 251 cubic inch 150 HP 6-Cylinder engine w/3 carburetors. Engine is called the “Blue Flame Six”. Corvettes were equipped with this rare engine for the first two years only. In 1955 and later, all Corvettes had V-8 engines.

Car is painted in a very rare “Sportsman Red”. All of the 1953 Corvettes were painted white, and in 1954 only 100 were painted red. This one is complimented by a matching red and white interior. Restored to original in the late 1990s, this car had a “body off” restoration and was later on display in the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY for 6 years.

Awards: Bloomington Gold 1998, Triple Crown 1998 and coveted Duntov Award in 2000. NCRS Score: 99.5 points.
