1958 Corvette Convertible - Details

This 1958 Corvette was recently purchased at the Mecum 2014 Auction in Indianapolis. The car had a complete “body-off” total restoration to 1958 NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society) standards by the previous owner in Canada. With this car was a notebook full of pictures, and in one of the pictures a Skat Blast Model 960 Cabinet was in the background! The 1958 models were probably the most desirable of the early Corvettes and you will not find another in such #1 condition.

Specifications: Wheelbase 102”, Overall Length 177.2”, Width 72.8”, Height 51.1” and a curb weight of 3,050 pounds. This fine example has 11” drum brakes, 6.70 x 15” whitewall tires, and a 4 speed optional manual transmission. A 283 cubic inch V8 engine with 4 barrel carburetor supplies 230 horsepower at 4800 RPM. Only 2006 of these 1958 convertibles were produced in Silver Blue at a sticker price of $3591. An optional auxiliary hardtop was ordered at an extra cost of $215.20 at the time, and compliments the appearance.
