This beautiful blue Camaro Convertible was assembled in Van Nuys (Los Angeles), California and eventually made its way all the way here to our collection. The Camaro originally is an RS model equipped with a 327 cubic inch (5.4-L) V8 engine. It went through a frame-off restoration to clone a SS model, now sporting a 396 cubic inch big-block (6.5-L) V8 engine with 350 horsepower and an automatic transmission.
Being the first model year for the Camaro, Chevrolet sought to cut costs by sharing the 1967 Camaro’s subframe and semi-unibody design with the 1968 Nova. This Camaro is a highly optioned car with power windows, power steering, power disc brakes, and even a power convertible top. The interior of the car features a wood steering wheel with a tilt column, deluxe leather interior, and a “Tic Toc Tach” tachometer/clock.
