As a highlight of any auto collection, the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T is sure to turn heads. This Challenger’s impeccable bright blue metallic exterior with white horizontal striping and matched white vinyl interior and top is a result of a multi-year rotisserie restoration. Completed in 2016 by Ozark Mountain Classics in Arkansas, the Challenger returned to its exact factory form. The car had been with the original owner prior to being at TP’s Car Collection.
This Challenger boasts a matching-numbers U-code 440 cu inch (7.2-L) Magnum V8 engine with 375 HP, the largest displacement engine offered by Chrysler. Other highlighting features on the car include: four-barrel carburetor, A33 Track Pak, 4-speed transmission, 3.54 gear Dana 60 differential, Hurst Pistol Grip shifter, Rallye instrument cluster, power brakes with front discs, dual exhaust with chrome tips, and power windows. Only 1,886 Challenger R/T 2-door hardtops were manufactured in 1970 with a 440 Magnum V8 and automatic transmission. A mere 43 of those were equipped with electric windows. This Challenger R/T is one of them.
